Join Marklund’s monthly giving program, the Golden Kite Society, and help make everyday life possible for all of our clients. Each monthly gift adds up to help close the $13,200 annual gap for each of our 117 clients.
Your monthly gift can do so much, such as:
$15 Covers those everyday life extras like a trip to the store or a Community Integration outing
$30 Provides a dollar-a-day for the Marklund standard of care, including the best in therapies and highly skilled staff
$52 Closes the gap for an entire day of care for a Marklund client
$117 Supports each Marklund resident with one dollar, every month

In addition, Golden Kite Society members receive benefits including:
- Quarterly impact statements on how Golden Kite Society gifts are being used
- A personal tour of either Marklund facility in Geneva or Bloomingdale, Illinois
- Invitations to events usually reserved for Marklund residents and families, including our Annual Summer games, Holiday Open Houses, and more
- An annual statement of your contributions delivered in January each new year
Joining is simple – each month your gift is securely transferred from your credit card. You can increase, decrease, or suspend your contribution at any time.
A special offer from a generous donor!
Viking Travel Service, one of Marklund’s Corporate Partner’s, has offered to match – dollar-for-dollar – contributions from all new Golden Kite Society members, up to $10,000. John and Peg Haskins, Viking Travel’s owners, are committed to ensuring Marklund continues to make everyday life possible and want to inspire others to support Marklund in this new and sustainable way.
When you join at the $117 per month level, giving $1 for every Marklund resident each month, you will be entered in a drawing to win one of 3 gift certificates for $250 from Viking Travel Services.
Please consider joining the Golden Kite Society and helping to close the $19,300 annual gap. Your generous support each month makes it possible for our clients’ lives to be filled with therapy treatments, baseball games, campouts, and so much more.
