In 2002, the Marklund Hyde Center welcomed Illinois’ first Miracle League baseball field, purposefully designed to accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility aids. The field has become a beloved part of our Geneva campus, used for a variety of day service activities, community events, and the popular summer baseball games!
However, after twenty-two years of dedicated use, the Miracle League field and dugouts display wear and tear, marked by cracks and uneven surfaces. Now, Marklund has made it our priority to resurface this central space – ensuring the continued safety and enjoyment of our residents, clients, students, staff, and volunteers.
From July 1-31, Marklund invites YOU to join our “Marklund Major League” to help make it possible for us to create a new and improved field for our residents and friends!
